What we handle
We handle the water side of your heating system. That covers leaks, dropped pressure, and faulty pumps. It also covers hot water cylinders, immersion heaters, valves and pipework. Because most "boiler problems" turn out to be issues here, not the boiler itself, we check this side first.
What needs a Gas Safe engineer
Gas-side work is only ever done by a Gas Safe registered engineer. That covers burners, gas valves, flues, and the boiler's internal gas components. We won't touch gas-side work ourselves. We'll always tell you plainly when that's what's needed.
Hot water cylinders & immersion heaters
If your heating works but hot water doesn't, the cylinder is often the real culprit. Because of that, we check cylinder valves, thermostats and coils for faults. We also repair or replace immersion heaters when they've failed. That covers a full loss of hot water, or water that won't get properly hot.

Why is my boiler on but no hot water?
This is usually a water-side fault, not the boiler's gas components. It could be a stuck diverter valve, an airlock, or a problem with the hot water cylinder. We check these first. They're the most common cause, and they don't need Gas Safe work.
Do I need a plumber or a Gas Safe engineer?
If the fault is water-side — leaks, pressure, pumps, cylinders, immersion heaters — that's plumbing work we handle directly. If it's gas-side — burners, gas valves, flues — that's different. It's only ever done by a Gas Safe registered engineer. We'll be upfront about which one your problem needs.
Why does my boiler keep losing pressure?
Persistent pressure loss almost always means water is escaping somewhere in the system. It could be a weeping valve or a pinhole leak in pipework. Or it could be a fault at the pressure relief valve. Topping up the pressure repeatedly, without finding the leak, just delays the same problem.
